3 SIMPLE STEPS TO PREPARE NOW FOR THE 2008-09 SCHOOL YEAR

The BrightHouse Summer Intensive Program

The school year is busy.  Really busy.  You’re looking forward to relaxing this summer.  No getting up at dawn to make sure your kids get to school on time.  No homework headaches at night.  Three months of school-less bliss.

But then August arrives…You grit your teeth and prepare for all the same problems as before, only this time they may be worse.  Why?  Because the academic work continues to build on itself year after year, and if the fundamentals aren’t there, the new stuff just isn’t going to stick.

So, let me suggest something unique.

10 Weeks to Academic Freedom!

Kindergarteners to college students…there are solutions for learning problems.  Can’t read well?  Can’t write well?  Can’t remember stuff?  Can’t sit still?  Can’t focus?  Can’t follow directions?  Can’t?  Can’t?  Can’t?

Hold on to your hats…can we fix it?  Yes, we can!

“How?” you may ask.  It’s actually rather ingenious and simple at the same time.  We find the root of the problem which tells us how to fix the problem.

Auditory processing problem?  We know exactly what to do.

Memory problem?  Ditto.

Processing speed too slow?  Yep, we know how to speed it up.

Visual processing problem?  We can handle that.

Trouble paying attention?  Poor reading comprehension?  Ditto.  Ditto.

“OK, you’ve got my attention.  What’s involved?”

In a nutshell, 10 very intensive weeks of procedures designed to address exactly what your child needs.  Here are the steps:

Step 1:  Assessment procedures designed to get at the root of the problem.  This will tell us exactly which procedures your child needs.  Plan to spend at least two hours for the assessment.

Step 2:  Monday through Thursday, 3 hours per day, for 10 weeks, we will work intensely, one on one, with your child using procedures designed specifically to make learning much easier and more efficient.  From 9:00 a.m. to Noon, or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., we will be doing some pretty interesting activities.  Boring?  NOT!  Your child won’t sit in the same spot for longer than 30 minutes at a time. 

Step 3:  Reassessment and strategy planning session for the upcoming school year.  We’ll assess your child again to demonstrate progress in previously weak areas.  Then we’ll sit down together and map out a strategy for success for your child’s upcoming school year.  During this session, we will address organization strategies and test-taking strategies.  We’ll also demonstrate how to take what your child has learned and apply it to academic work.  Plan on spending at least two hours for this session.

“This sounds too good to be true.  It costs a fortune, right?”

Of course not.  I’m a Mom, too, and I wouldn’t do that to you. Your child will be getting a total of 120 hours of procedures designed to stimulate the neurological system, and more specifically, to produce greater neurological maturation.  This maturation is going to be evident by your child’s ability to learn, remember, and focus much more easily.

So here’s the deal. You're going to receive steps 1 and 3 for a mere $100
(minimum $600 value).

Yes, you read that correctly, and all of my colleagues, friends, and family will tell me I’m nuts.  But that’s ok.  I’m still gonna do it. You'll get a pre-assessment and a post-assessment strategies session, all for $100.

We charge $30 per hour at BrightHouse for our services in the office. The manual for the program is usually $97, but for the summer program, it's only $67 (a savings of $30)!  That’s all it’s going to cost.  So, let’s do the math.  $30 per hour at 120 hours for the total program comes out to $3600.  Add $100 for pre-assessment and post-assessment strategies sessions and $67 for the manual. That comes to a grand total of $3767 (minimum $8,000 value).

“I can’t possibly afford that!”

Of course you can.  I’m going to let you pay it on a payment plan, and no, there’s no interest charged.  (You’re welcome.)

Here’s the way it works.  You pay $267 to hold your child’s spot. (We can only take so many children!)  This pays for the manual and applies $200 toward the total. Now the total is $3500, and you can pay $500 a month for 7 months.
