No problem! Provide us with the information for obtaining your child's textbooks, study sheets, tests, and whatever else you may have. We will upload pertinent documents to the courseroom and supply you with a certified teacher.
What if you don't have the necessary materials? Don't worry! We will have a certified teacher provide you with the information necessary to obtain the textbook and other essential materials for your child. We will provide everything else in the courseroom! In other words, a certified teacher will create a course just for your child!
Live in a rural area...far, far away

You could live in Timbuktu [where IS Timbuktu, anyway?], and you will still have help right at your fingertips. Pull out that trusty laptop, or sit down at your PC. Throw on a headset. Zoom, zoom, zoom. Off you go!
Maybe your child just learns better
in a technological environment...

Wait 'til you see this whiteboard in the courseroom! It POPS! (Is that word still current?) You can type text. You can draw. You can pull up documents on it. You can create outlines for essays and papers. You can do the highest level of math possible. The symbols are available with the click of a mouse. Sometimes I think the thing is going to come to life!
"OK, which subjects are available
on BOP?"
Why, all of them, of course. No, I'm not kidding. All subjects, K-12, and even college are covered. Language Arts for every grade. Every math course (even the terrifying ones like calculus and trigonometry). Every social science course. We even provide study skills, test prep, and help for special needs.
"What will my child need? What do I need to purchase?"
Quite honestly, not much. You'll need to purchase a headset which will allow your child to talk with the tutor online (no charge!). You can get a good headset for about $20. You may also want to purchase a webcam so that your child and tutor can see each other. (This is optional.) A good webcam goes for about $20 or $25. That's it!
"Is the
BrightHouse Comprehensive Learning Program™
available on BOP?"
Absolutely! All the appropriate worksheets and documents are sitting in the courseroom just waiting for your child. Tutors who are certified on the BrightHouse Comprehensive Learning Program are available to work one on one with your child just as they would if they were face to face. Of course, if you use a webcam in addition to a headset, your child will even have face to face contact with the tutor!
There are some portions of the program that can't be done on BOP. However, in many cases, we provide a different procedure that works on the same underlying neurological issue but can be done on BOP.
"If my child uses BOP for the BrightHouse Comprehensive Learning Program, will I still have to buy the manual?"
Yes. This is how it will work. You will order the manual (or modules). You will receive the manual or modules as a pdf attachment via email. You'll print the manual or modules and mail them to your child's tutor. The tutor will put them in a 3-ring notebook.
OR
You can purchase printed manual, and BrightHouse will mail it to your tutor. The tutor will put the manual in a 3-ring binder, and you're good to go.
The tutor will document your child's progress in the program notebook just as she would if she were working with your child in the home or library. When the program has been completed, the tutor will mail the notebook back to you.
"Will my child need anything else for the
BrightHouse Comprehensive Learning Program™ ?"
Your child will NOT need to purchase any of the materials that go along with the program. They are provided by the tutor and the courseroom. However, it will be very helpful if your child has a digital notebook. This is a device that will allow your child to use a regular pen on regular paper while simultaneously displaying it in the courseroom for the tutor to see. It is truly an awesome piece of technology, and you can pick one up for about $100. There's a link on the right side of this page that will take you to some digital notebooks on amazon.com.
"Alright! I'm ready! What do I do now?"
At last! I get to tell you about the 5 easy steps to academic freedom!
Step One: Click on the link to the right that will take you to the BrightHouse Online Platform. (The address is www.BrightHouseTutors.org.) Once there, click on "I want to become a member," and complete the requested information.
Step Two: Go to the home page and scroll through all the courses available. When you click on the course you want,, you'll be taken to a page that gives you the option of one or more tutors for that course. Choose a tutor.
Step Three: Choose your purchase option. You may choose one hour for $36, or five hours for $170 (reducing the hourly rate to $34).
Step Four: Schedule a session.. You will have the option of scheduling later, picking from the three closest times available, or click on "Choose another time" to be taken to the tutor's schedule. You can pick an open time slot on the tutor's schedule, and you're good to go..
Step Five: On the day and time you scheduled, put on your headset, and turn on your webcam (if desired). Log in, and go to your Student's Page. Click on the course, and you will be connected with your tutor immediately on the whiteboard.
