My Bio
Do you want the long or the short version? I’m guessing you don’t want to know about my emergency C-section …or the day we couldn’t find my son anywhere and were on the verge of calling the police when he emerged from under the dining room table (he was 3)*…or hey, what about a couple of years ago when my family had a wonderful outing for Father’s Day, only to find out Father’s Day was the next Sunday…or the day I was talking about heirs, and my four-year-old daughter in a very certain tone said, "I'm your rightful error!"
OK, enough of the cute stuff, here's the traditional spiel…
Carlene M. Wentworth, Ph.D., holds a B.A. in social sciences from the University of South Florida, an M.Ed. in counseling from Clemson University, and a doctorate in psychology from Capella University.
Dr. Wentworth has worked as a child and adolescent therapist, both in the public sphere and in private practice. As an educator, she has homeschooled her own children and taught at the community college and university levels. She currently works as a part time professor at Anderson University teaching psychology to awesome undergraduate students, and she serves on the Executive Board of the Einstein Learning Center in Greenville, SC. Previously, she taught at Clemson University in the graduate counseling program.
Dr. Wentworth is a musician and songwriter and has published stories and songs for all ages. A few years ago she won third place in the Billboard Song Contest! She has a home studio and continues to write and record as time permits.
Carlene is married to Bill, a sociology professor at Clemson University, and they have two children, 12 and 15 years old. They live on 7+ acres of beautiful land in Belton, South Carolina.
